3 years definitely flew by, seems like only yesterday I was trying to drink one of Ambers martini concoctions at one of the house parties or having lunch at Fidelity with Amber and Tee and watching her wipe her nose constantly from the extra extra hot sauce on her buffalo chicken wrap. Amber was one to never be outdone, competitive in every respect. If you did something, she would do it better, stronger, faster.and then let you know about it! :-)
Life has changed quite a bit in the last 3 years. Some friends that were once bonded together through Amber have gone their separate ways, while some have remained close, each of us remembering Amber in our own different, special way. The impact she had on each one of us was unique, but I think we would all agree that there was nothing more important to her in life than her family and friends. She put a lot into her friendships and family and expected the same in return.
How can we ever understand or rationalize why such a beautiful person could be taken from us at such a young age? Was she put in each of our paths to help us accomplish something? Teach us something? Amber introduced me to my soul mate..now my fiance. Without her, where would I be now?
We may never know the answers to all of our questions. We may not always know the words to post. But not a single one of us has gotten past this devastating loss. We all think of her each day, hear songs that make us think of her, remember how she touched our lives. Each of us copes in our own way but the pain will always be there, a void in our hearts that can never be filled again.
Amber, you are greatly missed! Rest in peace, we will meet again one day.
